What gets your time first—God or everything else?
Quick Summary
You never miss meals—but it’s easy to miss God. In John 6, Jesus challenges people who were focused on getting their physical needs met while ignoring their deeper spiritual hunger. He points them to something better—Himself as the true source of life.
Opening Prayer
God, thank You for bringing us together. Help us slow down and be honest about what’s really first in our lives. Give us clarity as we talk and courage to respond. Amen.
Conversation Starters
Option A (Light)

Scripture
John 6:26–27 (NIV)
"Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.'"
John 6:35 (NIV)
"Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.'"
